Who am I?: I began racing bikes in college at the University of Illinois after a back injury forced me to quit running. In hindsight, a blessing in disguise as cycling is so much easier on the joints and body in general. I took several years off from bike racing to concentrate on triathlon, but am putting all my energy into bike racing this year which has been a nice change. I enjoy protecting my heart with a good Cabernet or microbrew when not riding my bike.
