Principles

Boulder Velo Racing is committed to promoting the sport of cycling in the Boulder community. The team believes that every cyclist is an ambassador to the sport, and therefore requires its members to promote a positive image of the sport to motorists, pedestrians, and other non-cyclists by obeying traffic law at all times.

The team is also keenly aware that we wear the brands of our sponsors in public. Our members seek to return the generous support we receive from our sponsors by creating a positive association to the brands that we promote.

All team members share two common attributes whether training or racing: a competitive spirit and good sportsmanship.

Our code of ethics:

1. Team members form the image for the team and our sponsors, and are therefore expected to act with courtesy and professionalism both on and off the bike.

2. Team members are required to a wear helmet when riding in the team clothing (and are encouraged to wear a helmet any time they are riding).

3. Team members are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all races and events.
